I was walking Main Street in Ellicott City earlier this week when I came across this storefront window. There isn’t as much window shopping now unless you consider that substance that makes up your computer screen as a window.

If memory serves me right my Mother used to design and do big store windows for Macy’s in Philly many decades ago. She told me it used to be the thing for people to come downtown to look at Christmas and other holiday displays.

I wish I had her artistic talent.

Maybe I’ll be on the lookout in her memory for the unique displays this holiday season.
