I used to dread Sundays. I wake up on Sundays with a positive attitude now. Relaxed and thinking of how special they feel recently.

Even retired now for 11 months that chill up my spine when I wake with that old dread of having to stay up for 24 hours or more. Sundays are family and fun days. They were also the day I started working around 7pm and got off the Monday morning around 6am.

It was the switch day that I went back into night shift mode. I can’t recall staying up for 24 hours or more since I retired. But it’s something I used to do weekly. And that is why I still always am aware what day Sunday is.

I suspect it will fade in more time, but boy did it leave a lasting impression. My life is less of a roller coaster now and I’m thankful for that.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • I have a new theme song for a while. Hold On by the group Yes
  • People who define professionals by the tools they use and not the results don’t know their ass from a hole in the ground.
  • Smile when you can’t. It confuses the hell out of them.
  • Past mid-November and I got to put the top down on the car. What could be better than the sun shining brightly also.
  • I created some sawdust this morning. We will soon see what becomes of what isn’t dust.
  • There are some entitled people that just need to be taught some important lessons.
  • I have a UV Filter to test out this week.
  • Those winds were howling again yesterday.
  • I’m guessing the men questioning women in combat wouldn’t have the guts to go up against them.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.

  1. Not to diss anyone, but I sure do love real photographs rather than AI. Your rollercoaster pic has wonderful lighting.
