Decided to get some work done late this evening and some reflection. Thursday was a good one in terms of accomplishing goals. I would have liked to gotten another midday post done but was busy with traditional arts.
I’m looking forward to a good sunrise later this morning.
I did fit in unexpected some reading time on a book called “How to Know a Person” which I’m enjoying. Also did a few illustrations for later use on some of my work history posts.
Today is Valentines Day. We stopped spending money on this other long ago, except for the kids/grandkids. I guess we did things the first few years we were married but quickly realized we could do something the following week at half the price with half the crowd.
I have no knock on Valentines Day. Any day that helps spread and share love is a great day. So why not have a day a year dedicated to love. But maybe instead of buying those chocolates, and flowers and dinners and jewelry, we as couples share it with those who can’t afford the basics? Just a thought.
Random Thoughts of the Evening
- Decisions, you got to make them. The middle can band together or get swallowed by the edges.
- Strong wind has a scary sound to it.
- I see the desire to eliminate some departments in government by the current administration. I think they should tout the formation of their new one. The DOI (The Department of Injustice)
- Few things are as calming as petting a pet. Then enjoy it also.
- Having more flashbacks to the days of my youth lately. Sometimes a song, sometimes an article, sometimes the mention of an old name. Maybe the passing of an old favorite hotrod on the street. Sometimes it’s passing by an old landmark.

Valentines Day has become way too commercial

I’m not against love or expression of it. I just think Billions are wasted. Sentiments sometimes are best if they are personal.
