Waking at 2:30 am and realizing going back to sleep wasn’t going to be in the cards, I found myself at the computer wondering what marvels the day will bring. Ah it’s a Sunday morning. One of my favorite days now is that it’s no longer the start of my work week as in the past.
Some mornings I’m still a bit giddy at being retired. This seems to be one of them. My exercise is off to a good start today. I also cooked some bacon and made a fruit smoothie.
I’m excited to get outside and work in the yard this afternoon. It might just be an outdoor week ahead with warmer weather starting to return.
I’ve been restless to get outside again. I love my house but spending the days inside and when going out involves lots of discomfort one gets a little stir crazy. So, balance will return this week and that is good for the spirit and health.
When my doctors are concerned, upset, anxious and generally outraged at RFK Jr as United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, it concerns the hell out of me also.
It will be very interesting to watch his response to the measles outbreak. I hope we are not talking down the line about the number of deaths that could be avoided.
Another added danger to our daily lives, we didn’t need.
Random Thoughts of the Morning
- The last week of February makes me smile. We are entering the home stretch of getting out of my least favorite season.
- I’m not rich in dollars or toys. I was blessed with a girl and a boy.
- If we have enough sunny people, we might have a sunny future.
- It’s a shame that more bands don’t use a saxophone player. I was listening to Marc Russo with the Doobie Brothers, and it sounds like it was meant for their music.
