Peaceful day

Along the Patapsco yesterday morning I came upon this green scene. I hope to take another walk along the Thru Trail and hopefully catch some wildlife tomorrow.

Today I have an acre of property that needs attention. I’m about 2/3 of the way through it and some other maintenance, but I think I’ll finish the rest tomorrow before that hike.

The grass was so long I had to cut in low gear. Boy, was it nice doing it on the rider again. That would have taken twice as long with the push mower. I do have to do the lower hill with the push, till I get that path to the lower back made.

I guess summer is on simmer because it certainly isn’t getting off to it’s usual early start here in central Maryland. Have a great evening.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • Kids do the cutest things.
  • For being in a drought area, I’ve been cutting the grass fairly often.
  • I hope these trees are finished shedding soon.
  • Time to pull the cover off the fun machine.

  1. all of the yards on our street are large for the area (.5-1 acre) so there is lots of mowing happening regularly. because five of us use the same mowing service, i know tuesday mornings will end with our cul de sac looking good. EXCEPT that house over there where no one currently lives has grass that is 10-13″ tall.

  2. also, LOVELY photo.
