Ruling from the bench

I had to report for jury duty yesterday morning. Not my idea of fun but I’ve never avoided it in the past, so off I went. I hadn’t been to this new Circuit Court in Howard County off Bendix Road before. It’s nice. I’ll have to go back and photograph it on a sunny day.

I read that when you are over 70, which should be the next time I get called, I have the option to opt out. I was surprised how few older people I saw there in the jury assembly room.

Anyway, as usual, I didn’t get selected. I guess I have been 4-5 times and haven’t gotten chosen to be a juror. I hate having to get dressed up for it. Sat there for 3 hours till we were dismissed.

Donated $30 we were paid to the Howard County Foster Care program.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • I don’t mind a few rainy days. As long as it’s surrounded by long stretches of sun.
  • There is a new face of Trump Derangement Syndrome locked up in Minnesota.
  • The roads are both a beautiful and ugly ballet at the same time.
  • Oh, by the way Senator Mike Lee of Utah is a piece of crap.
