Go East

Those were some nice storms that rolled through early this morning. They got me out of bed a little after 2am. I did grab a quick nap this morning but now I’m off on the day’s adventures.

I got some of the yard cut today before the afternoon storms rolled through. Even got the mower put away, the shed closed, extra grass raked up and gas can, and oil was put away before the rain started. Boy did the shower feel good. It was so hot and humid. I forgot to wear a hat though and the top of my head feels a little warm.

I’m surprised the John Deere is still getting around this year. I was about to throw in the towel on it, but it will hopefully get me through this season.

Well enough about work. Time for FUN. And what is FUN? The Beach is FUN. And I see nothing but sunshine and heat for the next week after tomorrow’s storms. Of course, long term forecasts are subject to change but I’m going with the good news now and planning to point that Miata east till I see sand and water on one of the next 7 days.

I couldn’t have stagged this. I was tracking a sailboat just before this and posted that shot earlier. Then I followed this powerboat and I guess my timing was just right. Photo by Mike Hartley

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
