Took a long walk with an old friend yesterday and I hope to repeat that process many times in the future. A few years ago, he moved to southern Pennsylvania, and I hadn’t visited his home yet so off I went. It was an easier drive than I thought so I’ll be more inclined to do it.
We shared many special times together so there are many things there to review, and we are both interested in current events and sharing our takes on them. We are both retired and trying to stay busy.
He turned me on to trekking poles on the walk we took. I’ve never used one before, but it made a difference I feel. And that was just using one. I think when I do more wooded trails I might think about 2 but I’ll start off with one. It was good support for my weak right knee and back.
Random Thoughts of the Day
- Life is good when you don’t feel the need to get away. But once you think about getting away life becomes better.
- Determining what idiots not to listen to in life is extremely important.
- Having friends is important. Picking the right ones is critical.
- The hardest decisions in life are usually never about the job.
