Monday musings

Just looked at the list and it’s a very packed week. So much for the schedule I was thinking about. I’ll adjust because that is what life is about. A never-ending series of adjustments and modifications. And being a senior, it’s going to be one after another.

But the few free minutes I will have I’ll make very good use of it. I’m going to work my behind off this evening. Oh yeah, catch a few minutes of the Home Run Derby.

I was thinking back when I started blogging and I would use photos I had taken to kind of inspire the days thoughts or topics. I’ve gotten away from that, and I feel the need to return to that formula.

This flower made me think about all the beauty possible but the UGLYNESS killing it on so many levels is making me sick and it’s time to rock and roll against it. This greed and lack of compassion is out of control, and it only keeps being reinforced by those in power.

I’m going to have to work harder for a change. Not for me, but for my children and grandchildren.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • It’s good to be feeling better today. Whatever attacked my sinuses this weekend has abated.
  • There are Monday’s and then there are MONDAY’S.
  • I feel like I’m in a washing machine that has lost its spin cycle. You feel wet if it’s raining or not when stepping outside.
  • As one of my best friends is commonly heard saying, “it’s time to turn it up.” And he isn’t talking about just the music.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
