Braved the heat yesterday morning for the Sykesville Maryland July 4th Parade. And while I was there, I captured a door that I liked. I’ve missed the last few weeks of the Thursday Doors Challenge so I’m getting a head start on this coming week. I hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th.
Today we turn up the outside temperature again and probably another round of storms late in the day. I’ll take it with a smile, for we are lucky not to have the hurricanes, tornados, floods and earthquakes with the severity of other parts of the country or as often.
I have beach 2 hours to my east and mountains 2 hours to my west. We have all 4 seasons. Sometimes rolled up into one day it seems.
It’s far from a perfect state, but I like it and it’s pretty good when compared to most others.
Well, I have to get back to editing the parade shots I took yesterday and get them published.
Random Thoughts of the Day
- When I saw a severe thunderstorm watch for my town of Woodstock Maryland and the town of Woodstock Virginia in the same alert, I was right in preparing for a big one last night.
- It felt good to get the camera up and running again.
- I like small town parades. I think I’ll start attending a different one every year.
- Today we fire up the grill. That put a smile on my face.
