I walked out with the camera in hand looking for my pair of hawks that have been hunting in my backyard recently. I’m scanning the trees and branches where they like to perch, watching for prey.

Disappointed at the number of winged opportunities I started to scan the area. Something odd caught my eye on the ground. Look at the base of the tree in the middle.

I didn’t see it clearly for a minute and got a closer look. So, I zoomed in and this little guy was trying to catch a nap in the tall grass which I had obviously disturbed by being out back.
