Late again but not as bad as last Saturday just under the deadline. Another tight week but I did stop at McDanial College in Westminster MD on my way home from taking care of my daughter’s cats.

Exterior view of McDaniel Hall, featuring brick architecture, tall columns, and large windows.

I didn’t do this place justice at all. But I will return and give it a proper try again because there is a lot more of this town I hope to share.

I didn’t see any students yet but soon the paths and buildings will be full of them.

The entrance of a historic brick building featuring three white doors with decorative archways, flanked by black metal railings and stone steps.

This was originally Western Maryland College founded in 1867

I can’t remember which of my children I went with on a college visit for them when they were considering different schools. Personally, I like the feel of small schools like this.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.

  1. Wonderful doors and gallery, Mike! That unique turret styled porch and the oval glass in the door at #200 is amazing.
I loved the three white doors and the arches in your first image.
