Indian summer returned here in the mid-Atlantic for a few days. I was floating like a butterfly on the back roads of the county enjoying the warmth. A day of mowing in the sunshine with just a tee shirt and shorts. As opposed to the last cutting or two of the season with a big sweatsuit and jacket on.
It’s going to hit 80 today and I doubt we will be seeing that number or higher till next spring. Just typing that depresses me. But I’ll hold onto the past few days and the memories of a nice summer with family and friends.

Random Thoughts of the Morning
- Oh, the irony of today’s Fox News Poll. Just under 90% of their respondents said they were extremely concerned about government corruption, putting it ahead of inflation, healthcare and other issues.
- Test of endurance and strength today. Yep, we’re watching grandchildren.
- I feel like eating a meal out today.
- There is a lot to be said for saying very little.
