Transitions

We are really entering the fall season now. Don’t worry, I’m fully aware that I have to work on my negative attitude towards the cooler seasons. I can’t guarantee it won’t sneak out from time to time, but I’ll try to keep it to a minimum.

I tried another transition today but I’m not having much success moving my photo site to a new system. So, I asked for help from them. The start of this process has not been inspiring so far. But a few hours later we are successful and the transtion to learning new software and processes begins again.

There is a close friend going through some difficult times and transitions. I think he is getting to the point where he is finally realizing that he must help himself and that he has some difficult times ahead of him. Not a pleasant place to be but he’s fully aware he put himself there.

We’ve tried repeatedly to help but it’s fallen on deaf ears or opportunities, help and advice have been squandered. And while we will never abandon him, there are limits to what we will do for him now.

There is a worry that we might not have a smooth and orderly transition after the coming election. That would have very dire consequences for this country.

Soon there will be a transition among close friends. One will be moving a distance away, still within driving distance but not the 10-15 minutes we all have had for all our lives. This makes some significant changes for our regular weekly vigil. It’s going to be interesting to see how we adapt.

Transition in seasons means it’s almost time to winterize the outdoor equipment.

It also means I transition from having the top down on my car to using seat warmers. I park my fun machine most of the winter season and use my old beater car for the nasty days. Another seasonal transition I don’t care for.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • With the money he’s spending you would think Elon Musk was running for office in Texas.
  • I smile as I take the backroads that go over the Baltimore Beltway when it’s at a standstill, which is most of the time.
  • I think the only thing that will change the minds of politicians to act on gun issues is if their own children are shot in school. Because it seems that as long as it happens to other people, it’s okay.
  • I see Trump said he doesn’t go around mocking people. I kind of agree with him. He doesn’t go around it. That is what he does all day long.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
