I love seafood but I rarely get lobster. It’s not that I don’t like it, I do. With some drawn butter and a light touch of old bay and it’s perfect. It used to be that lobster was the most expensive seafood item on the menu. It is in some cases still but not in all cases in all seasons.

Location also matters when getting lobsters. I personally can’t wait till we take a trip to the New England area in the coming years and get near a coastal community and sample some real fresh lobster.

I believe I’ll indulge in some seafood this week. This is still one of the prime months for Maryland Blue Crabs. October is also a good month for scallops. And shrimp along the east coast is still plentiful and fresh.

Yesterday, I had a grouper sandwich from Oscars in Woodstock that is always great and this one was one of the best.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • I find when I give myself less time to come up with random thoughts, the better they are.
  • Don’t waste minutes, they become increasingly valuable with age.
  • My old car and my old body are starting to have more things in common than I like.
  • Pain is limiting even if you’re successful fighting it because you had to spend time on it.
