It’s nice to have time to just horse around. Be it 5 minutes or 5 hours like I have now in retirement. At work I remember many times taking just a few seconds or minutes to take the pressure off and make those around me laugh. Being it was a pressure cooker, it seemed to help. Most of us took that approach so it was manageable.
At times with some though it was frowned upon. Like when Directors came by. Most mid-level managers who knew if the work was being done the best, allowed and enjoyed our banter and occasional antics/pranks.
Today I’m sitting here between chores around the homestead. Storing hoses, hammock frames, patio furniture, blowing off decks and raking leaves. There might even be time to cut the yard for the last time. If not today definitely tomorrow.
My better half has been working hard also. So, it’s a household in action. But as I type this, my foot and back are having a conversation about the continued pace.
Random Thoughts of the Day
- If I can make picking up the camera and using it every day a permanent habit, I’m going to have a lot more work to share.
- If I didn’t enjoy the whole process of photography from prep to shooting to processing to editing to displaying, I wouldn’t do each of them. It does take some time though.
- I’m relaxed, I’m enjoying life, I’m working on my goals, hobbies and loving people each day. I’ve also never been so worried about a civil war breaking out, than I am now.
- Flying up the Chesapeake Bay yesterday at sunset was beautiful.
