What is my favorite type of weather? – Asks the daily prompt.

Sunny and hot. 80-90 degrees and I’m not opposed to 95 degrees. Above that limits my time outside unless I’m in the water.

I live for summer. Yesterday was a nice teaser of the coming season. But first we must make it through spring and that is usually a up and down ride.

I also like to watch lightning. I’ve got to get out and capture more of it this season.

Warm and Sunny

What is your favorite type of weather? – A simple ask by the daily writing prompt.

Warm summer days and nights are my favorite type of weather. Blue skies and sunshine and a bright moon at night. I love summertime with passion, always have and always will. Ideally 85 – 90 degrees and low humidity but that is asking for a lot living in the mid-Atlantic region.

I’ve got to admit I was almost tempted to put down extreme weather. I find storms mesmerizing. Lightning, wind, snow, ice, and hail all intrigues me. But there is too much of a downside to that type of weather to be my favorite.

Sunny, about 85-90 degrees with a mild breeze is my type of weather. Gym shorts, maybe a tee shirt, flip flops, or sneakers. I love absorbing the sun. It’s like this energy that sustains me throughout the year.

From the top down on the car for a warm summer morning ride in the country, pulling a beach towel from the trunk and hitting the sands, or just laying on my deck after a hard day’s work.

I love some summer weather. Even the thunderstorms are interesting to watch. I think I have some storm-chaser genes in my blood somewhere.

Unlike today, where it’s in the mid-40s this morning and a flood watch is in effect. So here is to a better tomorrow.
