If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? – An interesting thought to fantasize about from the daily writing prompt.
This morning my thoughts took me to Fenwick Island, Delaware. Right on the shore and the town borders my home state of Maryland so I can be right next to all the things I love. Trouble is that it is still too far from my children and grandchildren so it wouldn’t work.
It’s a beautiful small town of maybe 400 people on the shore. Very walkable and friendly. A slow pace of life and wonderful views.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? – And interesting thought and question from the Daily Writing prompt.
My first thought was right here. Where I am now in Central Maryland. In the midst of family and friends. 2 hours from the ocean and 2 hours from the mountains. We get all 4 seasons very few hurricanes, tornados, floods and earthquakes.
If the above weren’t keeping me planted here I might think about living in Bethany Beach Delaware.

Not being a world traveler it’s hard for me to say where I would want to live. Lots of factors go into setting up home someplace. My sister in-law was lamenting yesterday being cross country from us and not being able to see each other much.
But if I imagined anywhere in the world, I guess Australia or Denmark might be on my list. Through work I’ve had more than a few encounters with the Danish people and got a good idea about their society and life there. It sounds good.
Australia because I see some wonderful images from a photographer I follow of that country. It looks amazing. I hear Italy is pretty cool also.
But as I said earlier. I’ll stick to familiar grounds that have made me happy for decades already.
