Progress is fun

I’m trying to look at what I accomplish more. It helps balance what I see in front of me and keeps me going. Taking a few seconds of pride or just appreciating that chapter of the journey is okay. Satisfaction should come along the way and not just at the completion of a project.

The other day I was learning how some new bits for the Dremel tool and was just pleased with some of the test cuts I made. And it gave me an idea of how to use two of them on creating hair texture.

I saw many wonderful, completed marvels at the car show. The people that were really excited were those in mid project. Like the guy at our hotel whose car was just primer grey, and he added yet to be replaced, dry rotted window seals. And yes, he was heading home with it on the trailer before the rain.

But I heard and saw his car run and he’s got the mechanical part down pat. Him and others I ran into that were talking about their builds clearly the best excitement besides driving the finished project was the doing it.

Or the father/son I met on the boardwalk discussing their Ford and Chevy projects. The smiles and grins said it all. And then when something similar road by the eyes would widen.

Speaking of doing it, I’ve got to get back to several things if I’m going to make the best use of this day. And get my own grin and smile working.

Have a good morning all.
