Kids, birds and thoughts

As we wandered the Columbia Mall this weekend, with the throngs of people who had the same idea and were tired of being trapped inside because of the weather, we came upon the play area for young children. What a joy to watch. Shear joy and abandon. I will never grow tired of watching the natural display of energy and emotion kids bring to play.

So now that the sun has returned, keep your head up and eyes open for that next great thing. And remember it isn’t in a lotto ticket or fantasy football bet or job promotion or new car or big house. It’s that next kiss and hug from the ones you love.

So get off that merry-go-round of life that is focused on stuff and make it about experiences. And remember stupid. It’s about family and friends first. The only time you get on that merry-go-round is with your son or daughter on your lap. Riding a floor buffer with a friend is also acceptable.

  • You can not get back time you missed in your children’s youth. You can always earn more money anytime.
  • Management and I are on different planets sometimes. Now the only question is, which one of us left earth?
  • Management tip #1 Good communication solves issues before they become issues.
  • Eat well, Love well, Sleep well. 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
