Cranky

Today wasn’t a Papa day. Usually, I’m pretty popular but she is tired and wants Gamma so far this day. That is ok, I’m flexible. But I’m a little cranky myself. Verizon is having issues this morning making life difficult but I have other things I can work on.

I suggest baseball clean up its act and get their behinds back on the field or their sport might just go the way of the dinosaur. Photo by Mike Hartley

Speaking of cranky, once I heard the news report that the first week of spring training games was canceled because of the baseball lockout I lost my patience with this. I really like baseball. The first sport I played when I was younger. Always followed the professional game and spent good money on it.

Well obviously some very rich people can’t come to an agreement and that is fine because it is their problem. It’s no longer mine this year. To hell with going to a game. To hell with following it daily. To hell with buying anything from MLB. See, fans can STRIKE back. Good luck this year guys.

I had two short trips to make yesterday and it’s obvious we have a lot of people on the road that don’t give two cents towards anyone else’s lives. Well, I think a lot of people realize that and it won’t be long till you see people who have done stupid stuff getting what they deserve on the side of the road. People have stopped worrying about legal consequences and have little choice but to make it personal.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • My back already hurts looking at all the branches I have to pick up after those strong winds. Not that I mind nature doing some natural pruning, I just wish it wasn’t all in one weekend.
  • A friend of mine lives on a bend in the road. Not a bad curve, not a long one, not even in the middle of it. A motorcyclist wouldn’t classify it as a curve. I’ve lost count of the number of times he has had to replace his mailbox.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.

  1. Our Verizon FIOS outage was phone (yes, I still have a landline) and internet, but TV still worked. I found that ODD. It was back quicker than I expected – less than 2 hours after I found it was out.
