What’s the most money you’ve ever spent on a meal? Was it worth it? – Asked by the Daily Writing prompt.

Wow, that’s an interesting question. We allow ourselves a nice meal out every so often. I can’t recall a specific meal that was the most money.

I guess the most expensive meal I’ve ever gotten was around $100 not including the tip per person. And yes it was worth it. Most of the fine dining establishments we visit are worth it.

I’ll tell you what makes any meal worth it. When both of our dishes are great. When the service is great and the atmosphere is great. When I’m with my better half. And that can be at a simple local place or a nice vacation spot.

I like questions like this. It allows me to reflect on how fortunate I’ve been regarding food. That is why I make some donations to the Maryland Food Bank a few times a year. I would encourage you to also reflect if you have never been hungry that many are and need your help.
