My better half and I went to the beach (Ocean City MD) for a day/night and spent some time in Berlin MD on the way home.

It’s funny that we thought about having the children and grandchildren with us like our family vacation several times that first day as we talked and lay on the beach. The kids playing in the sand or pool and laughing. It’s a lot of fun with them all.

But it’s also nice to get away ourselves.

This trip helped put some wind under our wings again. A change of scenery and feel. Away from the chores and responsibilities.

The sound of the waves and the warmth of the sand and sun. And despite the sunrise being completely obscured by clouds on Friday morning and a fine mist I still got a few miles in the shoes along the boardwalk and side streets.

A couple of good meals, and a restful night downtown. See you again soon sand and sun.
