Cruising into Mid-Week

Tuesday was both a productive and relaxing one. Feeling more at peace with myself today. That little fact, is key in me getting some good work done. It was also good for some rest after a good workout.

I should be able to get out in this frosty weather and get a few shots in the local area. I’m going looking for some natural beauty in the winter season. I might be hard, it’s a little brown out here and the sun won’t be out today. I’ll have to work hard for some contrast and color.

Then again, maybe a good day to photograph people because I need some symbols of COLD and today it’s starting out at 15 degrees at this hour. Add on some stiff winds and I should see some people bundled up.

Food

I mentioned we went to Oscar’s Alehouse the other day and I forgot I took a few shots of my meal. The Steak and Cheese Egg Rolls with Queso sauce is one of my favorites and I get that almost every time there.

I will go for the Fried Pickles or Spicy Tex Mex Eggrolls also quite often. The Tsunami Shrimp have also been good.

Damn, now I’m tempted to go back and get some tomorrow.

I like their Cream of Crab soup, which is a little thicker than some but I’ve always found a great bit of crab in it. I’ve had the French Onion soup at the Eldersburg location but not here yet.

The Monte Cristo w/raspberry jelly to dip them in.

I’ve sampled several of the Craft sandwiches, and also the Burgers and Pizza and always been satisfied. The service has always been great, and the food always out promptly. There aren’t as many booths as the Eldersburg location, but that’s not too much of an issue.

I’m going to put them to a few more test. I’d like to see how their ribs measure up and some of the other Entrees. I hope their all great because this spot is very close to us and the kids and grandkids like it.

The bar is bright, large, and seems to also do a good business.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • Watching the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean from the beach at Ocean City is something I love. Even if I have to watch a webcam of it.
  • There is what I hope to get done, and then there is the end of the day.
  • People like to laugh. People want to laugh. I’m here to help. At least my kids seem to get a kick out of me.
  • Took a very important step today that will bear fruit this year.
  • I see Putin has reattached the strings to his puppet again.
  • Irony – those who said we weren’t safe are working hard to make us even less so.
  • Mirrors are good reality checks.
  • I liked the days at the bank where you could stand in line for the teller you liked.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
