We were in a D2 severe drought level in central Maryland on the map I saw on May 1st. I’m not sure what it’s going to change too, but those rains yesterday and continuing wetness today and beyond will certainly move the needle.
So, balance is being restored. I’m usually not into rainy days but I’m trying to adapt and utilize them.
I was highly unsuccessful in capturing some of that wind driven sheets of rain yesterday. That was impressive. My monopod was in the car, and I couldn’t hold the door and the camera steady at the same time because of the wind. Next time I’ll know to shoot from a window.
We did lose power for a few hours yesterday. I hope there won’t be any repeats today with more thunderstorms.
Random Thoughts of the Morning
- There is a mess in this office waiting to be cleaned. This is where I need a staff.
- I’d really like to get some prints made today. I just got the printer fired up and loaded with photo paper.
- Feeling different recently. Some good and some bad. But that is the way things roll.
- I’ve got more done this morning than a few others put together this week.
