Great Time

I got to spend a few hours with my daughter yesterday and it was fun just being the two of us. We enjoyed a great lunch at Mt Washington Tavern. Before this we always had a dinner there, so a lunch was a change of pace.

It’s a great place to eat and the service was wonderful. My daughter had Cream of Crab soup and a Shrimp Po Boy. I had Oysters Rockefeller, and the Shrimp Salad wrap, with truffle fries. And for dessert some chocolate and cheesecake bites. Then we walked around the town a bit. Thanks for a great day, honey.

We sat on a few of the benches around town and talked. I get so little one on one time with her I always cherish it. I enjoy hearing about her teaching profession and raising a daughter is always full of entertaining stories from her. I like seeing her smile and being relaxed.

We made a commitment to get together more often. And I think we will stick with it.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • When I get a lot accomplished, before sunrise, it’s a good feeling.
  • I hope I get to see my sister soon. But the odds are slim.
  • A day without a nice sunrise doesn’t seem right.
  • Making plans, following through, that’s living.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.

  1. Dads and daughters have a special relationship. I used to love spending time with my (late) Dad.
