Strange

Our family spent last evening before sunset doing family photos with a professional photographer. It was a gift from our children to us. A special one indeed, especially for me because I’m usually behind the camera. I’m in very few photos because I’m usually taking photos which is my passion. One that I’m still perfecting so I have no issue with the amateur status.

The children were wonderful. The parents were happy and my better half had some beautiful smiles, so I know this was special for her. It was so strange looking forward to a lens for me though. Being conscious of smiling when I’m normally smiling while the camera is to my eye.

I can’t wait to see the shoot and try to edit out our favorites for prints. I’ve watched other photographers like the one below working with family. I’ve tried to pick up some of their techniques and what where they shoot. And I picked up several things from this event.

But this was a strange experience, and I hope I had the relaxed look this guy had with his children.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
