What’s a thing you wish schools actually taught? – Asks the daily writing prompt.
That’s an interesting one. I haven’t been to school in a long time.
I wish they made learning a foreign language a mandatory thing. It was optional back when I was in school and I regret not learning another language.
I wish school taught me to think more, instead of memorizing the crap. The best classes are when teachers didn’t spend all their time in the book. I got more out of few conversations with teachers about life than I did in most of school.
Not that knowledge isn’t important to have and lots of that is in the book and assignments but life lessons and finding what students are interested in and helping them pursue that is a gift.
Remember athletes, keep up with the academics. Life is hard without them.
