Late to the day

I always feel frustrated when I get a late start to the day. Be it missing the morning sunrise, the first post of the day delivered late in the morning or just waking up later than I normally do and not getting my morning exercise in. So, my Sunday start hasn’t been the best one by far.

My mind was willing yesterday and last night, but the body wasn’t. It was the first time in a while that it stopped me in my tracks repeatedly. I was a very uncomfortable day. I made a lot of progress despite that. I backed off on the physical work a bit and used the computer.

Today is a day I’m going to power through to the best of my ability. Because that is what we do, because the alternative is to give in or give up. And the list of things to do for the house and yard is a list that just keeps growing so giving up or in, can’t be considered.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • It’s good to know that you aren’t a good gambler before you go gambling, it can save you a lot of money.
  • I was not prepared for that cold this morning. I’m not putting my shorts away yet, but I will be careful stepping outside in them.
  • If you find joy in creating, you have unlocked an important part of your life.
  • Seeing a granddaughter give her mother flowers with pride is a nice moment.
  • Taking better advantage of every opportunity to create is getting more important every day.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
