They are who they are

The daily prompt is asking – Share a photo of your pet and tell us one thing that makes them uniquely them.

Every pet I’ve ever had has been unique. Just like people they all differ. I’ve had the pleasure and pain of having many loving pets.

From the first one I had below that my dad brought home to us to the last one above, that I brought home to my daughter, they all have been special.

From almost having dog like behavior in a cat to a giant fur ball of a cat.

My first cat was a Manx. A big strong cat with no tail. She was the one who behaved like a dog. The neighbors had a German Shepard, and she was no fan of that dog at all. One day I saw him charge her and she leapt in the air landed on his back with claws out and this dog let out a howl of pain and ran for home. The dog always kept a distance after that. She would just sit in the front yard all proud and hiss at it if it started in her direction and it would turn tail and run.

Above is our granddog who we just lost last year. My son is still hurting from his first pet loss. It never gets any easier and my better half can’t take another loss, so we/she decided not to have anymore pets.

Pets are a huge responsibility, and a lot of people don’t fully accept it. The one thing that made all my pets unique to me is the love they shared. If you get a pet, please take good care of it.
